The Fund: The scholarship program has been funded with $5,000 per academic school year. Upon a thorough application evaluation process, three students will be awarded $1,000 while four others will be awarded stipends in the amount of $500. This award will be submitted to the respective student's university or may be given to the student for use such as to pay for his/her books or college tuition.

Eligibility: Any person residing in North America who can provide proof that he/she is undertaking his/her education at any university or degree program and can fulfill the requirements stated in the application form is eligible to apply.

Application: All applicants are required to fill out the application form found at the link below and submit the requested supporting documents stated in the form.

Award Process: As mentioned above, a significant emphasis will be placed on awarding students who are in need of financial assistance. All awards will be announced during the first week of January 2008, InshaAllah.

Evaluation Process: All applications along with supporting documents should be submitted via mail to Muslim Congress at P.O. Box 941554, Houston, Texas 77094. Upon receipt, a scholarship committee will evaluate the application. Applicants may also be contacted for further inquiries or for a short interview by a committee member. Upon careful reviewing of the application and presented materials, the top ranked applicants based upon the eligibility criteria will be awarded the respective denominated scholarships based on the decision of the committee members.

Deadline: The deadline to submit completed application along with all requested supporting documents is December 31, 2007.
