Imam Ali (AS) has said, "No wealth is more useful than intelligence and wisdom".

On behalf of the Muslim Congress Board of Trustees (the ulama) and the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the following recipients of the Muslim Congress 2008 Scholarship Award. Each of these individuals clearly demonstrated their dedication towards fulfillment of their education, and their value as practicing individuals in their local communities.

Abroo Sabzwari (Lynwood, WA)
Maliha Merchant (North Brunswick, NJ)
Najmeh Mahmoudjafari (Kansas City, MO)
Nuzhat Jaffery (Moreno Valley, CA)
Sukaina Ali (Bridgewater, NJ)

The purpose of this program was to provide support and encouragement to youth applicants who displayed good academic standing, a desire and commitment to fulfilling their education, and finally on their perspective towards their role as young Muslims living and practicing in North America.

We thank all those who applied for the 2008 program and wish everyone the best in their scholastic endeavours.
